Summer hiking tour - Parking space Prato Piazza/Plätzwiese - Monte Specie/Strudelkopf
From the Plätzwiese/Prato Piazza alpine guesthouse to Dürrenteinhütte/Rifugio Vallandro hut and to the old Austrian Prato Piazza works. From there to Strudelkopf/Monte Specie ridge and on easy terrain to the summit. Sign-post: No. 37, from Dürrensteinhütte/Rifugio Vallandro hut No.34
In the summer months you can use the bus line 443 (Welsberg/Monguelfo-Plätzwiese High Plateau) In the winter months you can use the shuttle bus from Brückele/Ponticello every 30 minutes.
Valley entrance Braies – road junction to Prato Piazza – continue until Ponticello. From Ponticello until Prato Piazza there is a traffic regulation from June until October (drive up is possible until 10.00 am and after 16 pm) – max. 100 cars. Bus service available.
At the Plätzwiese High Plateau you can find a parking space for 100 cars.
